Michael Don Eller Academic Scholarship recognizing Brotherly Love
Established by the family, friends and fraternity brothers of Michael Don Eller, class of 1992.
Michael (Mike – “Nukie Dog”) Don Eller was an outstanding fraternity brother, student, leader, athlete, and friend during his five years with Texas Beta and the University of North Texas. After graduating in 1992, his involvement with Sigma Phi Epsilon didn’t come close to ending.
The Cleburne High graduate continued to be heavily involved with alumni events like Mean Green football games, the homecoming alumni/active flag football game, UTA’s Annual Tri-State Softball Tournament, and the annual Balanced Man Scholarship Golf Tournament. His biggest monetary gift to Texas Beta came when he donated $2500 to the “new house” fundraising project in 2001.
Brother Mike met and knew no enemies, always finding a solution or common experience to bring people together. Mike had exceptional social skills and experienced life to the fullest in everything he pursued; it’s for those admirable traits he now becomes forever recognized by Texas Beta at the University of North Texas.
Mike unfortunately was involved in a fatal automobile accident on February 17th, 2012 which crushed those closest to him. Michael Don Eller stood strongly in the Cardinal Principals of our Fraternity – Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.
Gifts provided in his memory will go to incoming freshmen who display the same qualities of our beloved brother. Mike, your memory lives on in this scholarship which bears your name.
